Hi All, sorry for the simple question, i dont know much about credit cards
I buy a lot of items online and use my debit card on all sorts of online shops. Would i have more protection in case my card details were compromised if i had a credit card? do you get better fraud protection with those?
Thanks

You have the benefit of section 75 protection, and that it's also not your money.0

As far as fraud protection is concerned, it makes no difference whether it's a debit or credit card.
However, as ZX81 says, you can get S75 protection with genuine purchases on credit and you have the added advantage that any fraud doesn't actually take real money away from you - it just reduces the amount of credit you have available.0

Would agree with the above - in general it is better to use a credit card than a debit card as long of course as you don't incur fees interest etc and pay it all back in time
also if you choose a card such as the Tandem credit card you can even benefit from point 0.5% cashback it's not a lot but it does build up0
