CP Plus Parking Eye PCN at debt collector's stage

Hi all,
So, I've read through the Newbie thread and I'm fairly certain I understand what I have to do, I'd appreciate some clarification before I proceed, though, if possible.
I received a PCN via mail as a NTK for parking over the allowed time. I should have acted immediately, really, but I ignored all CP Plus letters until a DRP debt collection letter arrived. I have eight days to complete the payment otherwise 'court action' is being taken. I can no longer appeal online as it's gone beyond CP Plus' 28 days appeal deadline, as such the website directs me to DRP's website instead.
I have proof of purchases on the day in question from the retail park, I also have a valid disabled badge as an occupant of the vehicle is registered disabled. At this stage should I use the template in the Newbie thread and simply post a letter to CP Plus with the above evidence included?
Many thanks,
Billy

If you are at debt collectors stage you have missed the boat, and debt collectors cannot take you to court the 8 days is a threat, it's up to CP plus to decide on that.
What has this to do with Parking Eye, I think you are not understanding things correctly.0 -
I only mentioned Parking Eye to explain the car park had number plate recognition. What would you say is my best course of action? Wait for a further reply or send a letter to CP Plus?0

Ignore the debt collectors letters
Contacting them won't do any good0 -
So, are you saying I should wait this out? Even though CP Plus' policy states that they are unable to consider an appeal if the time limit to submit it has expired should I still send CP Plus a letter of appeal anyway?0

Ignore everything unless you ever receive a Letter of Claim or official court correspondence.
Then you need to read psot #2 of the NEWBIES thread to discover how to deal with it, and ask further questions on this thread if needs be.
You can of course, indeed should, complain to the retailer - as described in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread.0 -

Ah, my mistake there. Thank you for the clarification. I've spent the last hour or so reading through various threads and I understand at this stage it's best for me to Ignore the debt collection letters and await CP Plus' next response. Thanks for all the responses so far. I'll continue to post here if anything changes.0

I would send CP Plus the usual template, personally! Can't hurt & they might cancel.
Attach a copy of the Blue Badge and receipt and tell them they are in breach of the Equality Act 2010, by virtue of imposing a blanket time policy on people whose 'protected characteristics' mean they needed more time, and they put no system in place for disabled people to claim the extra time that the law would allow them:I have proof of purchases on the day in question from the retail park, I also have a valid disabled badge as an occupant of the vehicle is registered disabled.
If you can't do this online now, send it by post and keep proof (NOT SIGNED FOR!).
IMHO it is important to set the scene to be able to prove that the PPC knew about the disability issue...and then failed to make a reasonable adjustment of time. I think they will cancel if you put this pressure on.
Send the same complaint to the retailer Head Office and the retail park owners, too.
Do not write to debt collectors, at all. Waste of space, air, all of it. No-one should do that 'job', not when it comes to harassing people for non-debts like parking scams. People who *work* for debt firms & PPCs should be ashamed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
