Anyone had any experience with Sainsburys Bank Credit Card?

I applied for a Sainsbury's credit card a few weeks ago. When I tried to fill in the application online I would complete all of the application and then it would come up with an error message every time I tried to submit it,I was left unsure what had happened and whether the application was activated or not and whether it would show up on my credit history as a search, so, a few times I had to go through the rigmarole of ringing them up to double check a search hadn't been made and then trying again,I even downloaded a different browser on my computer to try,but it wouldn't work each time. Finally I rang them up and did a phone application,I was accepted but then they needed me to send them proof of identity and address (I have never been asked to do this before) I assumed it might be because I had moved to a new address and hadn't even been there a month. So I sent them off what they needed and also sent my driving license (I had no alternative unless I wanted to pay for a certified copy to be done and I was in a hurry as I wanted to rush through the application to do a balance transfer) ,it's taken them ages and ages to send anything back to me,I am still waiting for the driving license to arrive back even though it's been nearly two weeks, they are also supposed to be sending me another document that needs signing and they rang me to speak to me last Monday to say they would send it to me and I have been waiting for it for the whole week and now it is Saturday so the earliest it will arrive (if it comes) is going to be Monday which means it's taken a week. Why does it take them so long to send stuff to me and especially my driving license, why can't they send it back asap? (I rang up about it beforehand and the lady on the phone told me that they would send it back asap but clearly they don't) I've missed out now on doing the balance transfer I wanted to do from another card and I have had to just pay it off now from my current account to avoid getting charged interest,so the whole thing has been pointless as it took them so long.I'm thinking I might just cancel the whole thing with them now, apparently once the application has all been completed,in order to do a balance transfer I have to wait for them to send me the credit card and then ring them up and 'activate' it ,so God knows how long it will take them to print and send me a credit card if it's taken them so long just to put a letter in the post to me.Never had any of this hassle with any other credit cards I've had in the post, and always I have been able to do a balance transfer straight away online more or less as soon as my application was accepted and then the credit card arrived later.

I couldn't read all that as I ran out of breath, but Sainsbury's aren't generally regarded as being good with customer service.0

Sainsbury's Bank is jointly owned by Sainsbury's and Bank of Scotland. It is BoS who operate the credit card and I never had any problems with the card or customer service, during the years that I was a customer.
UPDATE: SAINSBURY'S BANK is now 100% owned by Sainsburys.0 -
I've not read many decent posts regarding Sainsburys bank so nothing is surprising me here.
Lesson here should be don't leave things till the last minute especially where balance transfers are concerned, hope you get it sorted soon.0 -

According to https://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/jobs/aboutus:
"Sainsbury's took 100 per cent ownership of Sainsbury's Bank in January 2014."0 -
Applied online on 26th of December. Accepted instantly, card & pin arrived around 5th of January which I found perfectly reasonable. Called to arrange a balance transfer from 4 different cards. One went instantly, for another three I have had to send copies of the recent statements. The ones from online banking were accepted. Tried to set up a direct debit for a fixed amount online from a Bank of Scotland Vantage. Failed. Resolved by a phone call. The waiting time on a phone was very short on both occasions, there was no just comparison with, say, Lloyds group or HSBC.0

Had a card for a few years with 0% balance, cleared it all and not had any issues with themRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
