PIP Appeal Tribunal Success

I had my tribunal hearing with regards to my PIP and WON!
My original application was back in October 2017 with an ATOS appointment in December 2017. I was originally awarded daily living at standard rate and nothing for mobility. My disability is lifelong and causes me major issues with my mobility. The report was full of lies etc and I did make a complaint to ATOS about this.
It took 14 months to get to the Tribunal stage. The tribunal itself was not a very nice atmosphere, the Dr in particular was very hostile, but the judge and the disability adviser were both OK. I was awarded the mobility component as well as the daily living by the tribunal.
The DWP did send someone, although he did not speak or offer any evidence. At the end he actually apologised for the DWP and said it was clear I should have been awarded the PIP in the first place.
I'm glad it's over (for now) and hope next time I am awarded the correct PIP in the first place.

My wife has a tribunal next Friday after moving from DLA to PIP. She had her medical in May last year so luckily has not had to wait as long.
Glad you got a result0 -
Thank you for posting details of your experience. I'm pleased that you were awarded PIP and hope that the payments improve your life. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Hi. Congratulations well done. I went for mine yesterday yesterday and OMG I’m still wrecked and sore all over from stress tension 😔
I felt like you the doc was pushy and rude but the representative I had with me said he felt they had to keep going on at me to get the answers. I have asd and adhd and everything goes with that so mentally it was so awful. I don’t find today as it’s not over that long and probably as I was the last person. I am a big worrier and I just feel so mentally drained I cannot figure out how it was but omg it was hard. I don’t think under the circumstances I could have done any more.. It felt pointless at times during it and I just wanted to give up. I would never have gone through this I had any idea how mentally traumatic it would be.. feeling so down and even if it sussesful I don’t know how I’ll ever get over how hard it was.0 -
