Definitely sounds like the battery is dying.

In my (anecdotal, trial-and-error) experience, I have temporarily improved the ability of a battery to hold charge by playing around like this:
    1. Turn off the device.
    2. Fully charge it.
    3. Unplug the charger and leave for 30 mins.
    4. Check the battery %.
    5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 so long as the % gets higher each time.
    6. Turn on the phone.
    7. Fully charge it.
    8. Unplug cable and hope for the best.
    9. Order replacement battery.

You missed a step there ;)
  • Yes it felt like I needed a doctorate in IT just to follow the instructions. If it happens again I will be buying a new phone, not worth the hassle again.

    Agreed.....
Trying to follow a 9 year old ethnic lad on Youtube drove me nuts so I went out & bought new phone.
