Fraud of abuse by position (removing an executor)

Hi everyone. I'll try and keep this brief.
My Brother had lasting power of attorney for my father.
He has abused it to the sum of 80k (I think) but don't have an 'actual' figure.
He gave up LPA when the office of the Public guardian started to investigate him - the investigation is now in the hands of our marvellous force.
My Father passed on Thurs 7th (last week) without removing my Brother as executor of his will.
On Friday morning, I applied a Caveat to my fathers estate to protect it from him (my Brother).
I need now to pursue removing him as executor as he is not fit to carry out the role. The police said that they would support me in doing this and I believe that I will be successful. I understand that I can write a letter to the courts to request his removal
My question is how do I proceed?. I'm not paying a solicitor for something that I can do myself.
Thank you for any help.

In this case you really do need advice from a solicitor. You don’t need to hand everything over to one but you at least need some guidance from a professional.0

Relying on a forum where most answers come from amateurs won't give you the support you need. Paying for proper professional advice really is the sensible thing to do.0

I agree with what has been said above.
As your brother seems to know he is being investigated, would he voluntarily renounce his role as Executor?0 -
Very interesting, any update Croesychick?0
