Interestingly, Metro Banks isn't even listed in the results of a similar survey done by MSE.
Metro Bank has taken top spot in an official survey of customers' satisfaction with their banks, with the Royal Bank of Scotland ranked bottom.

Interestingly, Metro Banks isn't even listed in the results of a similar survey done by MSE.

It's not really a fair comparison as it's apples and oranges - MSE conduct a free-for-all poll whereas the CMA-sponsored GFK survey is more scientific.Interestingly, Metro Banks isn't even listed in the results of a similar survey done by MSE.
MSE use arbitrary (albeit valid) criteria of only including banks where over 100 customers chose to vote and only 37 Metro customers did so in the last poll, whereas GFK surveys 1000 customers from each bank.
Interesting to see First Direct knocked off their perch though, which should see the end of the smug TV adverts....0 -
Some of the comments on the BBC article are hilarious.
Like, for example, this one: "ive got 70,000 in my first direct account .................. only use them, did have a nationwide but closed it"
Would my choice of bank(s) be influenced by this giant of financial wisdom? Answers on a postcard :rotfl:0 -
....which is exactly why I believe that greater weight should be attached to a scientific survey of a properly constructed sample, rather than the MSE approach of simply giving anyone and everyone a platform to air their prejudices! Some of the comments on the BBC article are hilarious.

Couldn't agree more. The MSE surveys are fun, but they are nothing more than voodoo polls.....which is exactly why I believe that greater weight should be attached to a scientific survey of a properly constructed sample, rather than the MSE approach of simply giving anyone and everyone a platform to air their prejudices!0
