    Afternoon.

Made it to the garage in good time despite the fog on the Loch Lomond section of the road. Glasgow was much chiller than my part of the world. Car is now serviced, bank account cleaned out (major service) and new glasses / contacts collected. I'm now with DM overnight.

The bargain shoes I bought last week are so comfortable, they're Flyflot, a make I'd never come across before. I did a lot more walking than anticipated today and have no rubbing or sore spots, most unusual for new shoes and most welcome. Especially as I haven't brought any others with me.

Talk of kilts reminds me of the old joke:
English person to Scotsman wearing a kilt "tell me sir, what's worn underneath a kilt?"
Indignant Scotsman to English person "I can assure you sir, nothing is worn underneath a kilt, everything is in perfect working order!"

On that note...I hope that laughter is the best medicine. :rotfl:

OL - if you have a smartphone or tablet you can dictate your text to here. When the keyboard comes up there'll be a wee microphone icon too, press that and talk. On iPhones / iPads it's to the left of space bar. You can use punctuation commands like saying 'comma', or 'full stop' or 'new line' etc. Just remember to hit the tiny keyboard icon to stop dictation.
  • GERS I have some Flyflot sandals and agree they are so comfortable. Mine were a bargain too - I got them (almost new) from a charity shop in Harrogate! I've never seen the brand before either, nor have I seen it since! x

Well, that appointment went quite painlessly which is more than I can say for my arm, but, another hospital appointment Monday so I can get it all sucked out again on my way out and a new batch of pain killers should help there. Also have appointment with doctor next week [ please make an appointment at your ealiest convenience blah blah blah diagnosis of cancer]. It makes it sound like this is a complete shock to them but hey ho...I've seen the inside of the hospital and the doctors more times this year than I have in the rest of my life. Thank god for the NHS.
We had an Indian yesterday for Valentines day, although that was the more the OH running scared as I've told him in no uncertain terms I'm too fat and I'll be doing WW from next week. Seeing as he doesn't cook that much usually, he kows he'll be eating that too. I lost two stone last year before all this happened and I think Ive put on 3. Good job I have a wardorbe ranging from fat to thin :)
No plans tonight except look at Nelski's boyfriend five times! Feeling quite positive and wanting to get on with things today, the sun is out is why...

Glad your coffee meet went well Holly, bodes well for future interaction . AOD, hope you enjoy your potential new challenge..snoozer, hope the scan results were helpful in identifying whats wrong with steve. mehefin, have hey tried the brazilian churrascario? I love the one we have here but then I do like meat. We also have a brazillian buthers that sells the same cuts, they're gorgeous. Speky, enjoy the weekend seeing your gran and family! csarina, I don't envy you cutting up that lot. OL. difficult decision, but percentages of success for each treatment makes a difference. SO, don't look! that's what I'm doing. Helps that the neighbours can't really see the back either. RosyRed, good to hear your friend is doing better...Nelski and Holly and everyone not sleeping, you are smartly rapped on the head with the sleep stick,

Steve was finally told at 6.45 that he has an atypical lung infection. I had been there since midday until 6.30 and finally left when the ward sister couldn't tell me if a Dr was going to come to see Steve. They've changed the antibiotics and hopefully things will now start to improve. About time methinks.
