Does anybody know if the 'NEW' gatso speed cameras flash?

I was travelling down a two lane, one way street. There is a 'new' gatso on this road with lines on both lanes. As I was going across the speed camera lines, I attempted to switch lane where an individual appeared to slow down to make room for me. They had a change of heart (tried to push me back in to the my lane) but I was already half way across so I had to put a little speed down to get in front of them safely. I had no choice to return to my own lane as the car which was behind me was now up my backside. Now I didn't see any flash, but I can't find any confirmation as to whether the newer gatso cameras flash, would anyone else know?

I can't post an image due to being a new user, but if you search new gatso speed camera on google image its the rectangle camera where the pole goes straight in to it. Its face consists of two squares and a rectangle in the middle of them.

Really hoping someone can help!

Strange , my mate was in a similar situation, basically , to cut a long story short, big fine and a ban, he soon matured quickly enough to learn that that short moment of stupidity, is never worth it. Even the NIP came after 2 working weeks, he was just not able to blag the system.

It's difficult to learn to get back in lane behind the car to the left, but it's sometimes all you can do.

Cross fingers and try to plan situations better in future

you could also add "flash" onto your google search term.

but yes, they flash.
