SD Card- How to copy music onto My Music file on PC

I live in fear of losing all my downloaded music on my SD card which I play/listen to on my Android tablet. It happened to a friend of mine last week. Can and how can I copy all my music onto my PC as back up in case the same thing happened to me. Would I have to copy each piece of music separately or would be a long and tedious exercise, or can somehow can It all be done in one go. I have approximately 280 different songs/music on my SD Card.

Simple. Plug your SD card into your PC, either via the SD card reader if it has one or USB reader if it hasn't. You'll then be able to see//read the SD card via Windows Explorer as any other file system then simply copy and paste all your music folders over.

As above probably easiest just to copy your music folder over .
  • Possibly look at installing some sort of cloud back-up app on the tablet that will send all the files on your card into the ether for safe keeping?
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)
  • Surely, notwithstanding the fact you haven't thought about backing it up before, since they were downloaded you could always re-download them.

If the tablet has a USB lead (maybe to a charger) try just plugging that lead into you laptop. Then you may not even need to remove the SD card from the tablet.
