Hi
I am expecting to receive a large amount of money due to redundancy at the end of this year.
Please can you tell me the best Savings account I can open to put this money in?
I would also like to be able to withdraw from it easily as well.
Regards
Sharon

More than £85,000?
https://www.fscs.org.uk/your-claim/temporary-high-balances/
FSCS protects temporary high balances in your bank account of up to £1million for up to six months.
Certain life events could have caused a temporary high balance in your bank account, including:
Redundancy (voluntary or compulsory).
NS&I will provide protection for higher amounts beyond this period

There's plenty of useful guidance at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/which-saving-account/ and

You might get more specific info if you go into more detail about how much it is, what you anticipate needing this money for, etc, plus other relevant stuff about age, family, job prospects, assets, pensions, investments, property, etc....0
