Order not received

Hi All
I was hoping someone could point me In the right direction, I placed an order early in January and stupidly paid on my debit card instead of PayPal, the order has never arrived and the company has been sold on to someone else who I have to say been great in response to my queries, but say because they never actually received payment from me for the goods in question they are not liable to refund, they have on several occasions contacted previous owner to chase this up but still nothing, is this a lost cause trying to recoup my money or is there anything more I can do..I have tracked down previous owner and sent him a message via messenger politely reminding him he owes me money..
Sorry for the long post...

I'm not sure it is an online jewelry store and I've looked through the information and searched it online to try and find out but nothing so far.0

Thanks so much for your reply I' ve not heard of chargeback, but I believe he has closed the Worldpay account that I used to pay, so I don't know if this would be possible without speaking to my bank.0
