im having it scarified next month. Should I then reseed it after its been scarified. If so, how should I do it please

I generally scarify and re-seed where necessary each year but this year I'm going to try some MO Bacter fertilzer instead. I've heard good things abut this product and it's ability to eat up moss.
  • Yes Jen reseed after scarifying. Wait till the weather warms up a bit though, Scratch the patches with a rake, put the seed down and then cover with a sprinkling of potting compost and then water only enough to keep damp.

I've used it, it does work well but not immediate like the iron based fertiliser would

Sprinkle lawn seed. You can get lawn seed spreaders. I found it to be crap so I do it by hand.

Thank you. I will wait till its been scarified the put seed down and potting compost on top. Is this correct?

Will the scarifying remove the weeds too

Yes that's right grass seed needs good contact and to be covered with soil/compost.

Scarifying won't get rid of weeds. It might catch the odd one but you would be better to spray them with a selective weed killer for example weedol lawn weed killer
