Guidance is just that, a guide.
Obvs if you're in this mess over a champagne lifestyle a guide is a good guide to where you should be.
Flip side is plenty people come here wanting to pay penance & do a SOA of £5 a week & 20 lashings
Neither would/should go forward with their past costs so it's good to have a rough guide of what's reasonable going forward
Besides no one can 2nd guess the individual OR, everyone's story has a slightly different outcome, different questioning, different allowance, a guide is handy but it can only be used as such ��0 -

So if your partner is contributing to a family housekeeping budget and if you are not disclosing your income, then the OR will have to assume its 50%.
If its the same in Scotland - then Debtdoctor's post is worth a read. However, I'm not really familiar with the Scottish system so there may be variations.
