I found somewhere a guidance for "THE INSOLVENCY SERVICE HOUSEHOLD EXPENDITURE DATA - REVISED JANUARY 2015 AND DERIVED FROM THE OFFICE OF NATIONAL STATISTICS LIVING COSTS AND FOOD SURVEY ISSUED 2 DECEMBER 2014"....where stated Housekeeping, including food and cleaning £528 (2A&2C) & Telephone £58 which I believe inc landline, mobile, internet etc. Mobile bill should be reasonable but if you are already in contract nothing to do...
  • This has all changed recently Debt Doctor has a few posts on this if you do a search.
Put your S.O.A up on here and we will have a look at it, but as a start put down what you actually spend and we can advise from there.

For how many? Single, couple, 6 children?...
Is it a single adults contribution to a family food budget?
Any medical reasons - allergies, etc for a special diet?
Rural accommodation with difficult access to supermarkets?

But please do not just lift figures from such a guide, as that's the quickest way of the OR asking you for receipts to backup your figures.

I don't think anybody keep receipt for grocery for more than couple of days. And, if you withdraw cash and do shopping by cash...that will be ok I think. And, for mobile, telephone, internet, all utility bills should be according to actual bill.
  • Keep your receipts from now on so that you can evidence your spend, that’s the most important thing.

I once had someone lift figures straight from the guidance, I requested receipts.
