Disgusting service by BMW

What on earth is the point of this winter check? All sounds like a poinless exercise.0

Thats certainly shoddy service though not beyond the norm in my experience of most main dealer servicing. Seems good service is the exception to the rule now.
So was the £74.00 charge just for recharging the air-con?0 -

I assume if you paid insurance you don't have fully comp which covers your own can or any other vehicle loaned to you by a main dealer while your is being repaired?0

I am new to BMW car ownership having had company cars for the past two decades. However, I have owned and ridden a BMW motorcycle for many years and I have always found BMW dealers to be very good. Yes, there have been times when I have been disappointed with certain things but as soon as I brought this to their attention any issues or complaints were dealt with promptly.
Had I been faced with your experience I would have brought the matter to the attention on the Service Manager before driving off in the loan car. The fact you were in a hurry and did not take the time do so may be fair enough from your viewpoint but how can they address the problem if you have not made them aware of it? Reporting it when you return the car does not give the dealership an opportunity to do anything about it other than apologise.
As for the delay in your car being ready, this happens. Perhaps they could have kept you better informed but, as has already been suggested, if they were short staffed they may have been under pressure. Take the matter up with them politely and you may get a goodwill gesture from them.0 -

the rant about the courtesy car was a little over the topCuriousUser wrote: »I was given a MINI Cooper Countryman (I pre-booked a loan car beforehand). The Countryman was manual, What is the problem with a manual do you not know how to drive a manual?
it was a MINI Cooper, how dare they give me a lesser car
it had a child seat (not an issue) but it was filthy, why even waste your time writing that if it was not a problem?
food leftovers all over the steering wheel, now that would have been worth seeing a steering wheel covered in food waste
Anyhow, I was in a rush to work so didn't mind that much. so the whole first paragraph was a pointless rant because they didnt really mind that much
and i cant believe i have just wasted five minutes of my life replying to this post
have you ever heard the saying Dont make a drama out of a crisis0
