Hi all,
HELP!
My father has recently passed away and I am in the process of going though the various finances.
On the very long list of Direct Debits is a payment of £6.99 to Dixons. I called them and bottomed out that it was a monthly payment for an extended warranty for a TV.
The sting in the tail is that this has been paid monthly since 2007 so we are approaching £1000! All for a £400 TV which went in the skip last year.
Is there anything I can do to try and claim back some of the payments? This quite frankly stinks and I struggle to understand how companies can legally get away with things like this.
Thanks
P

It's not illegal , he signed up for it and never cancelled
I'm not saying it's morally right thoughEx forum ambassador

Yeah - not questioning the legality more the fact that this is a very questionable practise0
