Hi Everyone
this might have been mentioned before but :mad:I am a newbie to the sight but just thought I would share my experience with the car Insurance comparison sights.
I had a quote for SAGA of £243 last week and went to retrieve it only to find it had gone up by £40, I phoned SAGA and said they use live prices and the nearer you get to your renewal date the prices are different and in this case I thought it was extortionate.
lesson learned!!!

Yep, always renew 30 days before your date is up. The closest you leave it the more you pay. Doing it on the day will cost you the most for two reasons, firstly you are desperate and don't have a choice so will be charged mug rates, secondly statistically your risk profile has increased by a lack of planning ahead and more likely to make a claim.
