Done my details on the cheap energy club in which i am looking for a better deal and with the prices rising in April, a fixed one.
Utility point which i have never heard of has come top, which is a 18 months fixed tariff with a £60 exit fee.
EDF comes second with green network energy to follow. I am a bit wary of companies i have not heard, but EDF seems to have poor reviews.
Should this matter who i go with, because if CEC are showing these then they should be ok?
Any advice please on this.
Thanks

The CEC covers all providers irrespective of how good or bad they are rated
You can alter your filters so that you only get companies that have good feedback in your suggested switches0 -
Brilliant thanks I will look at that0

1. CEC will show ANY company they feel like. They do ZERO checks on the company, it is just a list of companies that they will send people to and probably get a commission for. CEC don't care about you or the company they list.
2. I've been with Utility Point since July 18 and they are okay for me. Bills are correct and they use my readings sent monthly. This thread has feedback from myself and others https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5766963/feedback-on-utility-point0 -
Thanks. 18 month fixed sounds good also.0

Just for your reference, I think you will find that the exit fee of Utility Point is £60 + VAT, so £72.0

with utility point you need to sign up online. but when i go through the process it dont ask who my current supplier is? Also has anyone go a referral code please?0

Referrers cannot post here.
Check out the referrers forum and see if there's a up thread there0 -
Thanks will look for it0

@valleyboy22
There is no need to ask who your current provider is. When Utility Point start the switch, they will ask the central database who supplies your property. So they will find out for themselves.
The only reason a switching site asks for current provider/tariff is to help them make a comparison from your current costs to the new costs.0 -
