Short term car park in Heathrow T3

What a ripped off? Son ordered a taxi to pick him up at the airport and had to pay £4.20 for just in and out. Taxi driver said he must use the short term car park.

What do you think the taxi driver should have done considering the terminal drop off points at LHR now have more cameras than a Chinese tour group?

Have used that car park on many occasions. It must generate millions each year.

I paid extra for a taxi driver to pick me and aged MIL up at Gatwick. The driver really wanted to avoid paying for the short term car park and would have like us to walk to some ill defined point near a hotel next to a roundabout. In the end he did what he had been paid for with ill grace but we did at least get the additional pick up payment refunded the next day.

Not a rip off really, most airports charge for drop off and pick up now. People trying to dodge the charge at Leeds Bradford quite often find themselves with a parking ticket. Cheaper to pay the drop off charge !

Why not use the long term car park? It is free for up to 2 hours and a free frequent bus service from all terminals.
