AA Breakdown Rip Off Quote

NEVER auto renew anything!
Our AA Family Car Breakdown membership renewal quote was a whopping £293.32, up from £262 last year, even though we had not called them out.
I phoned to complain and cancel. Guess what....
AA rep - "Oh I'm sure we can do something with that price for you Mr Street. How about £219? And we'll even guarantee that price for you if you chose to renew next year also."
Yay !

Your car insurer can always get the best deals. Mine is about £7 a month. Several callouts including home start and nationwide recovery. Thats with admiral.

Sounds very like what I paid Green Flag £49 for or £39 after cashback.
  • Same as AutoAid for £48 for a couple then; any car covered

That's not our experience. Green Flag via insurer £78 this year, direct with Green Flag £50.
