Just wanted to warn you all about this company. DO NOT USE THEM.

We covered some rental flats with this company for gas/electric/plumbing/drain emergency cover.

They refused 3 callouts. The first was
- one because the problem started over 24 hours earlier (the tennants hadn't called straight away), so not covered
- one because 2 radiators not working isn't covered (only all of them not working is)

So we cancelled our rolling 30 day contract. They charged us an extra whole month, so effectively a 30-60 day notice period.

We had another problem during this time, which they again refused, this time because we were "not covered during the 30 day notice period", despite the fact we were told what our last day of cover would be when we cancelled.

So, as soon as you cancel your rolling 30 day contract, your cover ends, but you are charged for the next month as well.

This is a nightmare and very underhand company. There are so many exclusions in the small print I'm not sure they ever actually attend callouts.

Using them has caused more stress for our tenants and ourselves, not less stress.

We aim to take the pressure out of the emergency that you have encountered. Your report of difficulties in your engagement with us is a serious concern.

    In explanation to the issues you have raised, all terms of cover are clearly outlined within your terms and conditions upon the initiation of your policy. Here it states that incidents requiring a call out must be reported within 24 hours. As this was not the case, your cover was invalid. In the instance of the radiators, we do not cover any call out that is in fact not an emergency or amounting to a breakdown.
    Regarding your cancellation payments, this would be a matter that requires further investigation into your account. Please contact us directly at socialmedia@247homerescue.co.uk with your customer reference information in order to rectify this concern.

  • I think there's a whole other thread about these clowns on here. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Cheap price for cheap cover with any excuse to wriggle out of covering you. Plenty of better policies out there

    I would also like to add to this post.

    I too had bad experience with them... insured boiler for 1 year rang multiple times to book appointment for servicing but nothing happened... ended up changing to BG after this headache. BG came out within 2 weeks of policy to do servicing all done and dusted in 1 hour... pay £5 more go with someone like British gas or homeserve where you will recieve good service or your complaints will be dealth with efficiently...
