psp replacement service- it works

I don't know if its as a result of the forums going down but my search function isn't finding anything so i've had to do a new thread. Someone posted that if you phone sony and have a faulty psp they will replace it with a working refurbished model. I phoned today and i am getting a replacement tomorrow, refurbished but the woman said it has 3 month warranty, all parts are replaced with new and it goes thru the same tests as a brand new psp. They take the old one away. The woman was really nice too, great customer service from sony as i've lost the receipt. Too bad microsoft want me to pay £60 for an xbox that has ruined my son's games, their 3 yr warranty only covers the rings of death. I thought they would at least replace the disc as the xbox was not moved at all, but there you go.
Anyway, thanks to the original psp poster (when my search works i'll do a thanks), well happy :)

You realise the sale of goods act already covers you, it is the retailer's reponsibility. I assume it's a 360 so it can't be that old and so should still be covered under the "reasonable lifetime" which I'd say would be at least four years. If it has damaged the games through normal use then you can claim for these as well through the retailer.

There's still certain rights you have with second hand products, especially if they cause damage to other items.

Ok, well i have emailed them to start with as the staff at my local one are extremely ruse and even aggressive, so if i go armed with an email from them at least it might help!
