    To be eligible to enter, the garment must be produced by the entrant, and not for business/company use. It can be made using a commercial or original pattern but must be sewn by one person only. Entrants can apply to more than one category, and more than once in the same category, but each entry must be different. Each image needs to be taken with the garment placed against a clear, white background. The winning garment will demonstrate creativity and thoughtfulness with fabric selection, sewing styles and body fit. Extra consideration will be shown to items that showcase good technique and finishing. This competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees or agents of the associated companies and their families. Non-UK residents may enter their garments but are not legible to win the prizes detailed. The prizes detailed cannot be exchanged for goods or towards the purchase of goods at any retail outlet and are subject to availability. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, or replaced if lost or damaged. The complimentary Simplicity pattern is subject to availability and can be withdrawn if taken advantage of. Non-UK residents will receive the pattern in download form. Automated entries are disqualified. Illegible entries and those that do not abide by these terms and conditions will be disqualified. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility held for entries lost or delayed.

    Shortlisted entrants will be contacted by daytime telephone number or email to arrange for the garment to be sent in and forwarded to the judging panel.
