Hi
One of our cats unfortunately got trapped in our tumble drier over night .............we found him there in the morning...........he had wee'd in there ......so we washed him and then washed the inside of the tumble drier with bleach (no don't worry we didnt wash the cat in bleach:rolleyes: ).........
Now our tumble drier smells just like cat pee  any ideas please to get rid of the smell................tried to dry a couple of items in there and they both came out smelling of cat wee...........

If the wee went down the vent pipes you might have to open it up and give it a good clean, take pics with the digi camera so you don't forget how it goes back, UNPLUG it first and take all safety precautions.
Perhaps also dip some absorbent material in lavender oil and put it in for a bitPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Is it a condensing or vented drier?
Wash all the removable bits and bobs, maybe spray febreeze or soak the fluff filter in soapy water. Also possibly run it on empty with two or three tumble drier sheets or shoe freshner pouches (they absorb odour) on a low heat for 20-25 minutes.
I had a condensing drier and did the above when vinegar got in there! took a few goes but was fine in the end- good luck0 -
Eucalyptus oil is good for getting rid of the smell of cat pee. I'd wash everything as the others suggest then leave apiece of cloth with some eucalyptus oil on in the dryer overnight. Olbas oil works almost as well.0
