You can’t just get others to fix a fault and then argue the guaranteeing company pays.

How do they know your locksmith isn’t your cousin and it’s a ruse?
Likewise, you wouldn’t bring your broken (in warranty) Audi to a bmw dealer. No difference0 -

No differenceIt's a local company, I would rather not name them at this stage as I just want to know how to proceed with this. I don't think I should pay to fix something that never should have happened, just the timing was unfortunate.If I ruled the world.......0
