Is the £25 Cashback a rip off?

Until early December 18 I had an account with One Select. They went out of business and I was switched to Together Energy. I was not happy with their tariff but had to wait until the switch was complete until I could switch. On Jan 26th 2019 I received an email from Together stating the switch was complete and that I was now free to switch to any of their other tariffs or to a new supplier. On Feb 6th I applied through MSE Energy Club to switch to Green Network Energy and got the usual emails confirming my application and a welcome from GNE. Today GNE write to me rejecting my application to switch as in their opinion a switch was already being processed.

On calling them They advised that my switch to Together had not yet been completed but if I tried again on Saturday it would be OK!

Of course I cannot use MSE to re-apply but have to go direct to GNE and therefore no £25 cashback. Anyone else had this problem?
