I have a piece of string here, can you tell me how long it is?

    Are we talking
    A) Electric (mains connection, cold water feed). If so do you have the correct cabling from your Consumer unit and is the Breaker correctly rated?
    B) Electric (hot and cold water low pressure feed). If so how accessible are all water supplies and is their a 13amp feed locally to the site of the shower.
    C) Combi fed shower valve. Where will you take the hot and cold feeds from?
    D) Stand alone shower cubicle? How big and where located? Tiling required? How will you get rid of waste water?
    E) Shower over bath? Shower screen? Shower curtain?
    F) And shed loads of other questions.

And yes, how long is that piece of string?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
  • Ok I take your point.
  • £134.50 plus parts.....

In all seriousness, get some quotes and ask in the "is this quote fair" section of the forum. But give details of what's required as there's an almost identical question to yours already there (very recent too) with no detail of what is needed.

It could already be a fully tiled bathroom for all we know, swapping a mixer tap to one with a shower head and fixing a pole and shower curtain. Easy peasy.

    Or,
You may need an addition consumer unit fitted adjacent to your own, or even a new one altogether. A cable ran from the opposite side of the house. Water ran from somewhere, depending on how hidden you'd like to keep it could mean quite a major project!
