Sending Eau De Parfum

Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on how or if I might be able to send an Eau de Parfum in the post / via Hermes.
Hermes say that fragrance is restricted, and the detailed instructions say:
"Perfumes and Aftershaves - Perfumes and Aftershaves that are classed as flammable are prohibited. Non-flammable items may be accepted but there are restrictions based on alcoholic content."
But I don't know if Eau de Parfum falls into this category.
It's a fragrance, so I guess it's prohibited?
They also include glass bottles and liquids, so it doesn't look hopeful.
I've searched the forum, but can't find anything recent, but apologies if this has been covered.

Thanks, looks like a special label is needed for RM, but I could give it a go.
And I'll check back on this thread in case anyone has had experience sending via Hermes.0 -

Royal mail post perfumes and fragrances. there are restrictions. have to be new in original packaging and no more than 200ml I think. you can check on their website. when you go to post it you will need to inform the post office and ask for an aerosal sticker and tick the perfume box. RM will not post perfumes overseas0 -

When you post this ask for an ID8000 label and they should give you one without any problem. They're used for parcels containing, perfumes, nail varnish, aerosols and medicines. They're about A6 in size and you'll need to make sure your door number and postcode is on your parcel too.. You can put it on the white space on the label if you're short of space.
It looks like this https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/Example-ID8000-Label_0.pdf
150ml is the max volume per bottle with upto 4 bottles in any 1 parcel that you can send and it must be in original bottle and well packaged against breakage and leaks according to RM website.
More detail about sending restricted items here https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/96/~/prohibited-and-restricted-items0 -
Thanks all.
Anyone else with experience sending via my hermes?
Only asking as their parcel shop is easier to get to than the post office!0 -

I've sold lots of perfumes over the years and always used RM.
Never had an issue - just be sure to box/pack it securely. I've also never used one of those special labels to identify it as a liquid. I one time had a nice perfume smash on arrival and RM were not willing to refund the cost of it which is mentioned in their T&Cs (at least it was then, unsure if still the same). Hope it helps.0 -
Is the Eau De Parfum expensive?
Hermes do lose items, I've just come off a very exhausting claim from Parcel2Go with Hermes as the courier and if your item is prohibited I certainly would not use Hermes. Stick with a company that will definitely cover the item if it goes missing.0 -
Thanks again all, I went with Royal Mail in the end.0

Good, doubt you'll have an issue with them. Keep us updated if you can for other users in same predicament or want to send EDP/EDT's.0
