"Both" means you only have two accounts between you? Maybe 1 sole each? If you've never had a joint FlexDirect why not open one for another year of 5% on £2,500? Also retains eligibility for a pair of 5% regular savers (assuming you don't qualify by other means).

    I like it!
    Thanks

One joint account will get you two regular savers

Sorry, just spotted this and wanted to check. My partner and I have both had the 5% on £2500 current account with Nationwide, which has now expired. We both kept the accounts and are now getting 1% interest and just using the accounts to get the monthly saving account. We have never has a joint account before.

Would we be eligible to open a joint account and qualify for 5%?

So you're in exactly the same position as the OP then. If they qualify then so do you.

    The relevant piece
You're only entitled to one introductory rate at any one time, even if you open more than one FlexDirect account, unless an additional joint account is held.

Can you open new flex direct accounts 1 year of closing them?

You used to be able to. They closed that loophole a while back.

Sorry, yes, of course you can have multiple FlexDirects. You just don't get repeat 5%ers any longer, sadly.
