Hi folks,
Just discovered in middle of night we have a medium leak from upstairs dormer bathroom coming through downstairs Kitchen ceilling.
Checked all the upstairs bathroom furniture and no water or leaks around connections, ran water in all as well, doesn't make any difference to leak, still runs through the same. I don't think its water getting inside walls of dormer from its roof and seeping through.
Can only conclude that leak is coming from or an offshoot mains connection from pipes in bathroom floor where they are laid in top of joists.
Got a plumber coming in a few hours, would I be right in thinking it would be a lot easier to re-fix the small kitchen ceiling (plasterboard) as he will have to source the leak, other than to lift and destroy the tiles in upstairs bathroom floor?
To refix the plasterboard in ceiling is that a plasterer or joiners job or both?
Thanks for any info.

Yes it is easier to go through the ceiling.
Fixing the plasterboard and reskimming is the job of a plasterer.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
