  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Snoozer, hope Steve is better and will soon be home with you.

Holly, good to see you posting again, take it easy.

Very cold morning, the cars are all frosted, good job I am not going out till later. Its OH's evergreen day, will drop him off and then go up to my daughters for a cuppa and a chat.

Bed change day, sheets in the washer, they will be going in the dryer OH says it raw out. We are also going to do the bathroom and bedroom between us. OH will wield the Dyson and steam mop I will do the dusting etc. I cleaned the kitchen on Saturday so thats one job less.

Supper tonight frittata and salad, I guess a jacket spud will feature in there somewhere.

SIL's birthday today, he is 59. Has just spent a week in Spain playing golf with a group of his pals. Down to earth today.

We saw a consultant yesterday, although not Steve's. He is being kept in for 72 hours on IV antibiotics, he was also given an injection to help rebuild his white blood cells. His temp was still high this morning though.

All the children and his sister visited yesterday afternoon. Laura brought a birthday cake and we sang happy birthday (two days late). Sister-in-law is staying with me until Wednesday but obviously we won't be doing much except visiting Steve

Strange, the last couple of posts don't have a thanks button on them, all the others do.

Morning very tired here today. Dd has gone to school her so called friends have upset her over social media so she was crying last night and didn’t want to go to school. I have spoken to school and we have her phone she needs to cut down how much she’s on it anyway Working later. But not after school so I’m glad about that. I am going to the gym so will go shortly

    Morning all,
Lovely and clear today but lots of scraping windscreens here. We seem to have had a hectic weekend and I've not yet caught up with your news but gather Steve is back in hospital so hugs to him and Snoozer, and indeed anyone else under the weather.
DH was pricing work all last week so access to lappie for me was restricted. He and DS2 have to take the car in this morning, as an annoying message regarding a filter popped up on the dash which needs sorting ,then pick up the tools and back to work so the house should be peaceful again with them out of the way :rotfl:
I had a lovely treat yesterday- a meal made by someone other than me - we went to my brothers to talk about the extension they want DH to build and they asked us to tea.She used to work as a cook when she was younger and it was lovely.A James Martin chicken recipe followed by the best bread and butter pudding DH has ever had apparently ! My niece and GNephew were there when we arrived, she's very pregnant and is having a caesarian at the end of the month.
Came home to find pizza boxes strewn round the kitchen ;) This is after DS2 told me he wants to eat more healthily :rotfl:
    Right,jobs to do.Have a good day x

Morning all, not much to report apart from tiger bread is very nice toasted..but very crumbly and I'm covered in toast chips...

Had the one appointment visitor this morning who came early so glad that's out of the way.
Firends visited yesterday and brought the whole shop with them, or at least that's what it felt like, lots and lots of lidl treats, baklava and some other type of similar thing, a massive madeira cake, sausage rolls, granary bread, it was like a little party..i feel like I've put on a stone [more...]...I also won a local radio show quiz friday night so there's a bar of chocolate coming from that too. Anyone with a sweet tooth is welcome to help with the eating of all this...
Good to hear they're looking at mr.snoozer. Posts don't have a thank you button if they've appeared during the time you've been writing a reply. I know this because it takes me so long to write one, two or three people have usually posted before I have finished... Holly good that you had a nice time..Hope it's as good as it can be for everyone...Nelski, you're not the ugly sister, shut up! Wotcha Poppy, tru.
    Have a magesterial Monday :)

So much for seeing Dippy! It's obviously half term in Glasgow too as the World, her husband, all their chikdren and extended families were there. I couldn't get near the place, no parking spaces anywhere. I'm actually glad that he's bringing people into the museum so will just bide my time until next week.

I resisted going into town and decided to go to the garden centre beginning with D. Didn't enjoy anything about it! When it was part of Tesco that was bad enough, now it seems full of different franchises, even the food hall. :( Only 'spent a penny' there. :rotfl:

Now I have a couple of chores to do for DM then I'll settle down to read a bit. Last night I watched Endeavour for the first time and really enjoyed it. I'm a great fan of Roger Allam anyway.

    Afternoon all
It's been a lovely bright sunny day here and whopping 8 degrees :j.
This morning we went to town to the bank so I decided to call in the surgery first to collect my script and bumped into DD in the waiting room. We promised to call in DD's for a coffee and some Hm fudge on our way home ( unfortunately for me I don't like fudge ..... I'm such a food fuss pot ! ) Mr Fix It however loved the fudge :D.

While in town I wanted to get some new pillows for the van ( but they didn't have the ones I wanted ) and also try some different coffee as my usual Nescafe brand has changed and I'm afraid I don't like it, it now tastes cheap and nasty. I bought myself some new paintbrushes too so I'm ready to do the bathroom, I've already bought the paint and the new flooring. All I need now is time and energy..... wish you could buy that too :D
The 2 cs bags have been collected and I don't think I could have shoe-horned in anything else, not even a matchstick :rotfl:. It's bin day tomorrow so I need Mr Fix It to bring a rubbish bag down from his shed to fill the bin, otherwise the phantom bin filler will do it. ( It's next door.. they gave the game away by putting cat food pouches in my bin and they are the only ones around here with a cat :D ). I wouldn't mind, but I think it would be polite to ask first, especially as sometimes I have more to add and I can't because they have filled it :( . Sorry that was a bit of a rant.

Candygirl that's awful service . Hope your fire gets sorted soon, then you can give them what for.
taff Me, Me, Me, please........... as long as it's not fudge you can throw anything sweet at me. I have lots of sweet teeth :rotfl:. ( and fillings :o )
RosyRed well Pizza does have some healthy veg on it, doesn't it ? :D
Bozwood I hope your DD is ok. Girls can be so cruel to their " friends " :(
Organza Lace I hope your appointment goes well. Take things easy and look after yourself..... that's an order !
Holly take things easy too. That's another order....... can't you tell I've got my bossy boots on today :rotfl:
Nelski I've got a pair of shoes ready to go to the cs too. Gold kitten heeled sandals which I wore once to DD's wedding, many moons ago  ....... but I'm keeping the matching handbag :p. I think I must be the other ugly sister :rotfl:
TA I hope the nice people are able to secure the sale of next door. It will be a weight off your mind too.
ScarlettR I read your post as going to a BBQ and thought blimey they're brave in this weather . Now I know I'm due an eye test :rotfl:.
Camelot I too wondered where the lovely Tru is. Perhaps she's worn out by all those Xmas songs but I do miss Scampi's antics. There seems to be quite a few missing at present.
GintotM please keep posting. I'm not too far from Cribbs but don't visit that often ( it's about 40 mins away by car )

Hope all the poorly people are feeling a little better. Sending healing vibes anyway.
    Take care all.
    nan xx

  • Holly, good to see you posting.

Snoozer, sorry to see that Steve is still in hospital, what a worry, he's really going through it.

It's a really nice day here, bit chilly, but sunny.

I was rereading my post from this morning, and I've made it sound as if we're doing the landing cupboard with two shades of paint, I hasten to say we're not, the two shades are for other places!!

We had a good "meeting" at D*bbies, our next one is proposed for 11th March.

Finished the ironing, so the washing fairy needs to call in to create a bit more.

    Have a good afternoon folks
