What bank are offering mortgages to people who are only a UK resident for 3 months?
What is the criteria they need to meet?
Give me some source to back up your statement.
Every lender is different, there are no universal absolutes. Same with payslips, some lenders require six months and some only one, and most fall in between with three.
What OP needs is a broker to match her with a lender whose criteria she will be able to meet.0 -
I lived abroad for 10 years and came back and got a mortgage straight away.
I think it depends on your particular circumstances, have you retained accounts in the UK etc.
A good broker will be able to help you.0 -
I agree with bpj
I think the mistake a lot of people make is to closed everything with the hope that they will not be returning.
I have lived abroad for over 20 years; have kept my bank/credit card accounts which I use every month.
I also have online banking which I am able to check at least twice a week for security reasons.
I also rented out my flat with the intention that if things do not work out at any time, I will have somewhere to live.
It was hard at first keeping the mortgage, especially when the tenants did not pay, but I struggled and now I am mortgage free.
Advice to others thinking of leaving the UK, do not close all your bank accounts and keep at least one credit card in your name so that you have credit history.0
