How are they ripping off prepay customers? the standing charges and prices per unit are clearly displayed when you sign up to the tariff and that's what you get charged. Millions of people pay by direct debit for their energy without any issues and considering their is a direct debit guarantee you are pretty well protected. The main issue comes from people not understanding how the billing works and not providing meter readings.0
