Unknown iTunes charges on my credit card?
Comments

No idea on the refunds because at the time I was unaware of the whole incident? Like I said initially it’s my own fault for not checking closely on a card I barely used.0

Had another chat with Apple and they would not let give me the information on where they money was spent and by who unless I issue a subpoena??? Ringing Santander tomorrow as I have a missed call from the fraud dept.0

Spoken to Santander they are wanting an email from Apple to say the 7 transactions (dates and amounts) are not linked to my account, so just spoke to Apple and they will not provide that response in an email, she keeps saying I have confirmed in a previous email a case number and wording to say the account these were paid to has now been disabled, that doesn't exactly say my accounted not link to these payments, also bloody iTunes purchase history does not print any purchases you have to screen shot it, can't see Santender accepting this...
Apple's email:
As mentioned in my very first email:
To prevent future unauthorised transactions, I’ve disallowed your credit card from being used on the iTunes Store and disabled the account that was used to make the purchases.
Under the circumstances, I’m not able to reverse the charges for the unauthorised purchases.
I hope that the above information is helpful.

This is so frustrating...0 -
I don't use iTunes but would it be possible for you to get a transaction history for your account? This would then show that there were no purchases on the dates in question.
Also, s mentioned previously, make a formal complaint to Santander. If you get a deadlock letter then you can go to the FOS0 -
Ideally, you need to do all your correspondence in writing only, by Royal Mail. That way, you will always get a written response (and associated paper trail)Deleted_User wrote: »… This is so frustrating...
As stated earlier, the written complaint needs to go to Santander. If Santander are unable to arrive at what you consider to be a satisfactory resolution, then you escalate your complaint to the FOS. The escalation to the FOS should also be done in writing.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I've just tried to print all my purchase history from iTunes, yet they don't make to possible to print, you have to do screen shots of a couple of purchases at a time, however I emailed apple and they have just emailed my all iTunes charges to my account from march 2018 to June 2018, again these 7 disputed charges do not show up on my account so waiting to speak to Santander again and I will email these on to them.0 -
So just put the phone down on a very helpful girl at Santander who have agreed to refund the 7 charges from iTunes. I had to get Apple to send me a invoice showing all my iTunes purchases linked to my account over a certain period during the disputed transactions and also copies of emails from Apple stating various things regarding my account and other account used for these transactions being disabled etc etc.
Anyway a positive outcome finally and a lesson learned for me and thanks to that person from Santander complaints department who assisted thorughout.0 -
Thanks for letting us know.0
