Hi,
Can any Santander Select account holders share whether Santander has any higher interest current or deposit accounts that offer higher interest rates than those available to standard 123 account holders? Or any other aspect making the move over useful?
Thanks.

Offerings don't look that great, eg for a 3 yr bond it says "Fixed rate of 1.00% AER/gross for 3 years if you’re part of Santander Select".
All 'perks' seem to be listed at: https://www.santander.co.uk/uk/select/products .butterfly )i(0 -

Thanks,
It seems to remain just as I thought when first invited. Simply a mechanism for Santander to sell you more product with no real benefit.0 -
I've been "Select" for probably about 5 or 6 years now, and other than the gold debit card with a higher ATM limit (which I've made use of exactly once) and a couple of phone calls in the early days that were supposedly to introducing me to my local adviser (but were more likely really to try and sell me something) I've not noticed any difference.
I have not transferred over to the new branded Select account (rather I just still have "Select" applied to my regular account) and indeed downgraded from 123 to 123 Lite when the interest rate was dropped, so I now have a "Select Lite" account.0 -

Thanks,
They seemed keen to have the meeting some years ago but I still have three 123 accounts in my name (one shared) and I don't want to trigger closer scrutiny of the one extra account I "shouldn't" have. My wife has two ie one shared and when we applied for the third it was approved, created - then rejected and they gave her £50 to say sorry. So if there are no accounts with extra interest I won't bother. I use Clarity and Zero cards when abroad and therefore don't need a greater limit.
Thanks again.0 -

Marcus pays 1.5% without needing to jump through the hoops of multiple accounts and DD etc which I believe is more than you get on the 123Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
