Shed build - planning advice

Our house is off the main road and set back in a private entrance with 2 other neighbours. We have fairly long driveway. On the right to the house we have cut down some hedging opening up more space and slabbed area. I would like a medium size shed with electrics erected here as we no longer have a garage since we converted it.
My question is do I need planning permission to build this? Bearing in mind one of the requirements for no permission is:
“No part of the shed / greenhouse / building is in front of the principal or side elevation of the original house that faces onto a road.“
Any ideas?

Does the property have permitted development rights, or have these been removed?
What is on the other side of the boundary on the 'right' side of the property?
Did you obtain/need planning consent to convert the garage, and what have you converted it into? Is the garage freestanding, or is it attached to the house? Was the garage built at the same time as the house? If not, did it have planning consent?
Lots of questions... it is complicated unfortunately."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Why not simply ask your local council's planning dept for advice?0
