June was the initial interview my LA conducts to decide if you're eligible.  Then they do a survey to establish market value.  Once that is in they then have 12 weeks to make an offer, so there were weeks in between these things happening where nothing seemingly happened.  The RTB website gives a timeline, there's a link that explains what to do if there's a delay:
    Hopefully that will help.

  • Hello. I realise this is an old post but I've found the wisdom on it very useful. In our situation we have to transfer the name on an ex-council property past the 5 year discount period, but still within time frame where First Refusal must be offered.

Sadly, this is due to the death of the legal owner and it is a straightforward probate family transfer with no sale or offer on the open market. In this situation can the council enforce the right to buy back? Family has lived in the property for 35 years, but it's currently tenanted with the view to our son living there when he is old enough.
