Update:
Please tell me this is some sort of joke
hxxps://ibb.co/pPGScsB
I have not revealed myself. I used the template on the newbie thread and added/amended nothing at all (except the name and address of registered keeper in the signature).
You guys should know that before I got through to the box where I pasted my appeal, CP Plus try and make you select one of the following (using words to the effect of):
- to admit you were the driver and carry on through to appeals
- to notify CP Plus that someone else was driving
I chose NEITHER and selected the button ‘continue to appeal’.
Either they’ve automatically ticked the ‘admit I was driving’ box for me. Or that response was made to the wrong person. Or even, they’re trying to play mind games. They’re disguisting.
What should I respond?0 -

Looks like a trick to me.
Reply and say, no, I haven't. I have appealed as the registered keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Some of these drop-down boxes default to 'I was the driver' if any change is made to prior input to the appeal window. It's crafty, and you're not the first to have been caught out by it.
I'd send them a 'For avoidance of doubt' letter confirming that you are appealing purely as the vehicle's keeper.
I'd send in a complaint with a copy of your 'For avoidance of doubt' letter to make them aware of what is happening and ask that they investigate. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have sent them a short sweet reply denying that I revealed the driver. I also threw in that the ‘was driver?’ tick box has been fraudulently selected automatically, and this suspicious activity has been noted.
I did NOT select that box, on ANY of the appeal forms and yet it’s bounced back as ticked on all of them. That’s data manipulation and deception. Surely there’s an element of fraud involved?
I’m starting to think I could go on the offensive now. Their tactics are so disguisting and devious I wouldn’t mind picking up some legal representation and sueing for fraud (i might just be clutching at straws here but I’d LOVE to smack them into place).0 -
UPDATE: they just cancelled one of them after that reply!! HAHAHA0

This is the same as the PPI scandal and you may care to take this your local trading standards as it's clearly fraud0 -
Complain to Steve Clark at the BPA about that.I did NOT select that box, on ANY of the appeal forms and yet it’s bounced back as ticked on all of them. That’s data manipulation and deception. Surely there’s an element of fraud involved?
Did you keep screenshots that prove it, if not then just assert what you have told us and point out CP Plus have cancelled one PCN when you mentioned the fraudulent appeals tick box, but have not cancelled the rest:
steve.c@britishparking.co.uk
And even if they cancel them all for you, say that you need the BPA to investigate this as a formal complaint, from a wider perspective about ALL CP Plus appeals from all motorists, and to test to box themselves.
If the BPA can be arsed, it will be easy to expose this as fraudulent massaging of data, designed to make people lose at POPLA even when they know they DID NOT tick that box and only appealed as keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
