Possible Speeding Ticket in company Car

I was driving down a road which just had new average speed cameras installed
Didn't at the Speedo but pretty sure I wasn't over 40 at any stage. But there's a possibility of nip in the post to our car lender. I work in care and was travelling was pws at the time. Do I own up to my line manager just case been there 8 months my manager thinks I'm great and even the person in charge of the HR thinks the same. My job doesn't job doesn't rely on me being a driver as there lots of non drivers there. Am likely to be sacked or be told off I love my job

You will need to read your contract. Highly unlikely that 3 points would make a difference at all. That's assuming you don't take the speed awareness course that you are likely to be offered.

Read contract doesn't say anything about dismissals or warnings following speeding tickets but does say to report any to your line manager if you get them but think refers to using own car. I'm not bothered about anything else 3 points I would take with fine or speeding awareness 20 years clean licence

The only thing I worry about is my job happy to deal with nip myself

They probably need to know for insurance purposes. The vehicle's insurer is likely to want to know about who drives the car. If you get a course, you don't need to tell them anything (unless that is included in what must be reported), so don't do anything unless or until you actually get such points.
  • Check through your disciplinary procedures, handbook and contract - that is where you are most likely to find whether speeding is considered misconduct.

If points see added, you may need to tell your employer for insurance purposes (theirs). That may well also be covered in your company's driver's handbook.

The company will know anyhow as the leasing company won't know me I'm thinking tell them upfront just in case the company gets the nip. My wife used to work in HR she suggests pick your words carefully like might get a ticket and say it was just a lapse in judgement when driving she thinks highly unlikely get the sack for a minor offence like that. The company I work only asked for only asked consent to have look at my licence once officially started. There also have drivers who cannot drive for because they have points on there licence still paid the same us mortals
  • Don't say anything yet. You don't even know if you were caught exceeding the limit. Wait and see what happens. You wouldn't be the first to have an NIP (by proxy via the lease company), and you won't be the last. Don't stir up anything that needn't be stirred. 3 points for a SP30 is nothing these days.
