If you don't want the hassle of opening another current account (to access a regular saver) I'd go with Marcus or Virgin @ 1.5%, or Tesco @1.45%.

Ok, not the highest rate you can achieve, but easy to keep separate.

After looking at OakNorth web site, it appears there is a minimum payment of £1000.

£1,000 is the minimum to open an account. Thereafter, you can pay in any amount that you wish.

All the regular savers that are available to me (internet) only allow max £250 and are only for 1 year. I have already used Natiowide RS.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

Have 2 on the go & then once matured depending on what you want to do with it either stick it in instant access at 1.5% or tie it up for 5 years at 2.6%

If you're up for a bit of risk theres P2P like zopa where you could get 4.5%

You could also play the banks with current accounts. You say you have a Nationwide account but TSB also pay 5% on £1500. Tesco pay 3% on £3000 (you're allowef 2 of these accounrs)

Thank you for your suggestions. I already have TSB and Tesco accounts. Not happy with P2P.
