Hi everyone,
I’ve just done a credit check and found I have a CCJ on my file, something which I never knew about and is linked to an address that I lived in nearly three years ago. I’ve got no idea what it’s for, or how I go about clearing it, does anybody know what I need to do, speak to, or even check to resolve it?
Thanks

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
I’ve moved your thread from the ‘I wanna’ board to the ‘Credit File & Ratings’ board, where it is better suited.
Regards

The first thing you have to do is to find out what it is. The credit report will give the claim number, amount, date and issuing court.
If you contact that court (email should be ok) and ask for the particulars of claim you can see who started the claim and why.
Then post again and let us know if you recognise it as your debt.0
