This company are a bunch of lowlifes. Their customer service is poor beyond anything I have ever suffered, even at the hands of BT?
I am in the process of changing to Bulb.
Spark used to allow me to enter my readings but that facility is removed now as they know I am changing. I suspect they want to try to talk me out of moving by making me call them.
I have given the readings to my new supplier who informs me that Spark may take up to 6 weeks to sort out my account and of course they owe me money so I guess it will be at least six weeks. That is why I wanted to give them my readings.

They increase your DD without getting permission but won't lower it without a meter reading that is less than two days old. When you don't have access to your meter cupboard that is a real pain.

Stay well clear of this bunch of sharks who it seems are trying every trick in the book to keep MY money as long as they can.
I thought this switching process was supposed to be simple.....:mad:

    @Spurskingy

    Well Spark are only doing what ever other energy company does when you leave.

    1. It is common practise to block any new meter readings once the supplier knows you are leaving.
    2. The closing reading has to be the same as the opening reading at the new energy company.
    3. You tell the new supplier the opening reading. That reading is sent by your new supplier to an independent verifier who sends a verified reading to both suppliers. That value is used in both the closing and opening bills.
    4. All energy companies have 6 weeks to make reasonable efforts to produce the final bill.
    5. You can expect any refund to follow 14 days after the final bill has been produced.
