Tethered via Bluetooth question

My Samsung tablet A6 & phone is Samsung a5. Currently staying away, unable to connect my WiFi only tablet via provided code.

But, I've tethered them both via Bluetooth and the tablet is working fine.

Will there be any repercussions to my monthly data allowance charges? Or indeed anything else?.

Depends what you monthly data allowance is? And is it capped or not?

Using the table could mean you'll burn through the data faster than on the phone...

I also use such tethering when travelling. Any data used by your tablet will come from the phone's 4G connection. So it will use your phone's data allowance. If the tablet is just doing simple web browsing & email, then the data consumption will be small.

Avoid the following on the tablet... viewing video, updating tablet software, any large downloads. Remember that the tablet may believe that it is using WiFi - so will tend to be unrestricted in data use.

I also noted that my phone's battery falls very fast when tethering - it has to power 4G and WiFi simultaneously.
