3 x Parking Charge Notice Brittannia Parking - Claims Form Help

Hi!

I was just wondering if someone might be able to help. I received 3 parking charge notices from Brittannia Parking from 19th- 26th July after I parked in their Dex Car Park in Newcastle and forgot to buy a ticket (I was clearly having a bad week).

I didn’t have the money to fork out £180 in parking fines so left it and hoped it would go away but low and behold they got a company called Debt Recovery Plus Ltd involved and then BW Legal and now I’ve just received a county court claim form through (25th January).

I’ve noticed people have advised to defend yourself on these matters but is it wise if my defence is that I forgot to pay for a ticket? The total amount they’re asking for is £558.01.

I’ve kept all of the letters so can post them in here shortly.

As a defence forgetting to buy a ticket isn't great.
