Sofas - How Big??

Hi All


I'm getting near the end of the long running extenion, which gives open plan kitchen and living space of 6x12mts, so its spacious.


Going to have a big corner sofa in middle, rather than agaidt a wall. Does this look overpowering and just TOO big, as an example?

Does your idea of filling the room with biggest you can, appeal, or rather less, is more??

Utterly massive so everyone can lie down all over it.

What's the point of a massive room if you can't fill it!

We have a large corner sofa in our family room and it looks good because we only have that, its footstool and the TV in there on a huge rug.

I would be aware on being able to walk round to be able to hoover etc - cleaning the floor can be a nightmare if you have to lug the sofa all the time.

I would also consider....please bear with me.....whether you can see dust/detritus under the sofa from the other side of the room - this is the reason we have ours on a rug because seeing the dust etc on the wooden floor used to drive me mad.

I would also be aware of the sunshine bleaching out dark colours over time (thinking of the blue Made.com sofa) so be vigilant as to where you're placing the sofa in relation to the sun,
