I really like the Dakota too.... just can't justify buying furniture even though do sort of need something to put telly on... currently renting telly and it's going back. Trouble is, MIL agve us lovely fire and surround which we needed but it's mahogany and i cannot find anything to match it anywhere! Too oldie fashioned now i guess.... Dakota was a close-ish in terms of colour if not wood.

anyone know anywhere for mahogany but modern?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

  • Ive also used the container clearance company with no problems. Bought a solid oak coffee table for about £160. inc postage. The table was the same as Laura Asley but they did have Next furniture too.

They were very professional and confirmed the order by email, rang to cofirm delivery & delivered when they said they would. The furniture is good quality, I can't even lift our coffee table. If you are not in a hurry I would give them a go.

I've just ordered an Oak sideboard and tv unit from CCC, they also trade as oakfurnitureland.co.uk.

Hope it's okay when it comes but for the price I'm not too concerned and won't be too heartbroken should it get scratched or knocked.

I've just received a mango wood desk from them (£355) - the quality is superb on the outside - I love the desk - its definitely solid and chunky - although inside its a bit rough and ready but that doesn't show. I'm going to buy the bookcase too but their couriers were shocking! They arranged a delivery date (and apparently they only deliver to my area 2 days a week!) and i took the day off work and then they never turned up! So I had to take another day off! I was fuming!
