Help needed- trying to transfer debt from New Day MasterCard

Hi guys

I’m new to all this and hoping someone has some suggestions for me.

I current have £2000 on a New Day Ltd MasterCard paying large interest fees. Trying to reduce the debt I applied for The Sainsbury’s 22month 0% fee card and was accepted with a credit limit of £3,500 so was over the moon, however then was alerted that they don’t accept transfers from my New Day Card. I called Sainsburys customer service number who confirmed they cannot transfer from this card. So I’ve now marked my credit score but withdrew the application.

Any suggestions of where to consider next... desperate to get this dept reduces before it escalates further

Thanks!

  • Nothing has affected your credit score so no worries there.

What was their reason for not taking balance transfers from NewDay?

Either apply for another card elsewhere that will take NewDay or start cutting back and throwing as much as you can to clear it down.
  • Hi, you need either a money transfer card, or a balance transfer card that accepts NewDay cards for the BT. (For this you will have to ring the potential card supplier to confirm the situation re NewDay cards).

  • Thanks for your help.

Sainsbury’s Bank just advised they don’t accept transfers from that card after taking the 1st 6 digits from the card number.

Will ring around and hopefully find a bank transfer card that accepts transfers from new day.
