Rent when moving out mid month

So I viewed a property earlier this week which is available from mid-March. I'm not sure if i have got it yet (they had other viewings to do - I'll know by the end of the week) but am trying to figure out my current tenancy agreement in case I do get it.
My current tenancy agreement in the section titled Break Clause states after the minimum term of five months (which is now passed) either I or my landlord can end the agreement by giving 15 days notice. There is also a separate section titled Ending the Tenancy which details what is required to end the tenancy at the end of,or after the end of, the fixed term. This section also states 15 days notice is required but that the notice must expire before a rent due date.
As the clause relating to a due date is in the section on ending the tenancy and not the section detailing the break clause is it safe to assume this only applies to the end of the fixed term and not ending the tenancy early? Or does it seem like I would be required to give notice prior to a rent due date even if I were moving mid month or else pay rent for a full month regardless of when I moved? Sorry if this is a stupid question - I just want to make sure I fully understand. I know I can ask my landlord but Don't want to let them know I may be moving yet.

Yes that is the exact wording. I pay rent monthly but I believe the previous tenants paid fortnightly do perhaps the notice period carried over as a result of that? I was surprised it was not 28 myself.0
