Throttle body - Clio

Good evening,
Car - Renault Clio (2002) 1.4 Automatic Petrol
I’m hoping for a little advice regarding an issue with my car. I was unable to start my car yesterday morning, it made a noise and was turning over but just wouldn’t start. The RAC came out and connected my car to one of their battery packs and got it started although it was running quite rough. The RAC advised it was a coil pencil that had failed (which didn’t surprise me as I have have 6 of these fitted in the last few years, a common Renault problem apparently!). In the past, the RAC have always managed to replace the coil pencils on the spot, however he was struggling to work out which one had failed. After trying them all one by one, he decided that one of them was on its way out but had not completely failed hence why he couldn’t work out which one it was, and advised I take the car to a garage.
I took the car to a local garage (I’ve used this garage for years) this morning and heard back from them this afternoon (through a family member as I was at work) and they said that they had replaced one coil pencil but that he suspected the main issue was actually the throttle body. He advised that the first option is to remove it and give it a clean which would cost £100 - £150 dependent on how long it takes. However, he advised there was a risk of it being damaged whilst either removing or cleaning and that if this was the case it would need replacing at a cost of £300 - £400, but advised this hopefully shouldn’t happen and that a clean usually fixes the issue.
For the moment I’ve got the car back and it generally seems to be driving ok. Very minor lag when pulling away from standstill, but no other symptoms it seems at the moment.
Can someone advise if the above sounds correct? Like I said, this is what the garage advised a family member who then relayed this back to me.
EDIT - After just speaking with my family member again, he says that removing the throttle body could cause damage to the 'electrical box' and this is what would cost £300 - £400 to replace if it was damaged. Does that make sense?
Thank you.

Just get one from a breakers yard.
And find a new garage as any garage wanting £150 to clean a clios throttle body is ripping you off0
